Sustainable Development

 

CENTTHOR's policy to contribute towards a sustainable development and reduce the

carbon footprint of our activity is based upon the following principles :

  

Exclusive use of « PEFC » certified european wood  produced in forests that are managed in a

responsible way with the adequate reforestation.

Exclusive use of EN 62 standard MDF (Medium Density Fiberboard) and chipborad panels that are also PEFC certified. 

Recycling of all our own wood wastes.  

Use of numerically controlled cutting tools allowing a fine calepinage and thus minimising the unused surfaces of a board.

Selective sorting of all waste types.  

Multi annual framework contracts with our major clients that encourage the refurbishement and re-use of the previously manufactured pieces of furniture or decor for the new projects.

Organisation of our production, selection of suppliers and partners, manufacturing methods allowing to reduce the transported volume and weight. 

Preference for lightweight materials (whenever possible). 

Strong presence in certain sectors thus allowing us to mutualise the transport and some of  the tools used for different clients at the same location or event
